JANUARY 1 - JANUARY 31 LESSONS
It is now time to dig in and prepare for our Guild Auditions, as well as those that are preparing their Ensemble pieces. We have a whole open month to get to lessons and move forward.
STUDENT OPENINGS
I have two openings for students, if you know anyone interested.
Please remember that your contracts require you upon termination of lessons to give me a month's notice and/or payment for that month.
New Method of Handling Missed Lessons:
If the person in front or behind the student's assigned lesson time reports they will be missing, I will check my list and see if the student needs an extra lesson. If the student's name is on the list then I will call and see if the student can come earlier or stay later (whichever the circumstance should be) and we will have a double lesson.
It has become so hard to get students to come at any time except their own that I am going to try this new method of catching up.

FEES FOR MTAC COMPOSERS
TODAY EVALUATIONS
If your student composed a piece this year, you will notice that there is a fee on the bills for Composers Today Evaluations.
For students that have not participated in this before, the compositions are sent to California to be evaluated by two evaluators that do not confer with each other. They will have two different opinions of their unique composition. It is well worth the fee.
Because they called an early deadline this year I have already sent the compositions to California, along with a recording and copy of the manuscript. This also means I have paid the fees for my class.
You are actually reimbursing me for the expense of their registrations and it is non-refundable. Please do not be late this month because of this $700 expense I have expended for the students.
